OMJ Foundation is a dynamic, philanthropic and compassionate nonprofit organization committed to advancing opportunities and creating a lasting positive change. Founded with a clear purpose, that is, uplifting generations through the act of giving back to the society. The Foundation champions generosity, empathy, and collective action to transform lives and build a brighter future for the next generation.
The Foundation is inspired by the life of Mr. Osei Mensah Joseph (OMJ), born in Konkonuru–Aburi in the Akuapem South Municipality of the Eastern Region of Ghana. Having grown up in conditions of severe poverty, OMJ experienced first-hand the hardship many young people still face. Determined to break that cycle, he established the OMJ Foundation to ensure the youth in his community and beyond have opportunities he was denied.
Established in 2022, our foundation has delivered measurable impact across local communities, schools, and partner organizations. To date, more than 4,000 people have directly benefited from our flagship initiatives: The “YES” Initiative, The Widows’ Mite, OMJ Soccerfest, The Menstrual Hygiene Drive, High-Level Advocacy, and The Educational Support.
Our goal is to empower 20,000 people by the year 2035, prioritizing youth in the Akuapem South Municipality and extending our impact across Ghana and beyond.
We hereby invite individuals, associations, and organizations of like mind to volunteer, donate, and partner with us in pursuit of this vision.
